Ethiopia Longberry Coffee

Well known for their coffee's, Ethiopia grows coffee in multiple regions. Unlike Yirgacheffe that is grown in the Southwestern area of Ethiopia, Longberry comes from the Harrar area that is in the east of the country.

The Bean

Unlike Yirgacheffe region which wet processes their coffee beans, Harrar is actually dry processed. The Longberry is a slightly larger bean compared to the shortberry or mocha  (peaberry).

Taste

Bolder than the Yirgacheffe, Harrars are considered the powerhouse of Ethiopian coffees. We roast these as a light roast to yield a milder cup with chocolate overtones. You may pick up hints of blueberry and apricot. The aroma will be very intense and the finish may give you hints of jasmine.
